There’s a lot to be said for a wardrobe with a wide variety of labels and styles, not to mention owning unique and high-quality pieces feels fantastic. But there’s also no denying that it can be extremely difficult to find brands that aren’t super mainstream without spending a ridiculous amount of time and money on a closet you aren’t completely head over heels for. The fix: here are five unique brands to add to your wardrobe this fall.
Oddli
Every time (literally, every time) I leave my house in an Oddli piece, someone pulls me aside and asks, “Omg, where did you get that? It’s so cute!”

Designed and made in Los Angeles, California, Oddli offers various sustainable and high-quality basics ranging from classic lightweight boxers to dinner party dresses. It’s one of those brands that, outside of a good pair of jeans, you could build a pretty decent capsule wardrobe from. Not to mention that they manufacture their clothes using deadstock fabrics, which Oddli clarifies on their website is the 14M pounds of excess fabric created in the fashion industry every day.
Oddli’s sizes range from XXS to XXL, and they openly feature what sizes their diverse models demo on the website, creating a more inclusive environment that’s easier to shop.
Scotch&Soda
Amsterdam-based Scotch&Soda is a brand that focuses on individuality grounded in practicality. From eclectic statement pieces to richly detailed essentials, they aim to unite original design with clever functionality to offer a lasting wardrobe.
The first time I ever stepped foot in a Scotch&Soda store was on a late October afternoon in Brooklyn, New York. Though I didn’t take the liberty of purchasing anything at the time, I thought about it for months afterward, and later when I was actually in Amsterdam, I took it upon myself to give in to their effortlessly playful yet timeless winter collection that I now can’t get enough of.

If you’re searching for pieces that feel like they were made for you without feeling too cookie-cutter, you’re in the right place. What’s better, Scotch&Soda offers men’s, women’s, and children’s collections- there’s something for everyone.
Studio Seven Designs
Not everyone gets the pleasure of a cool and crisp autumn, but that doesn’t mean you should have to sacrifice a cozy fall wardrobe. Studio Seven Designs is a UK-based clothing brand dedicated to creating the perfect basics for everyone’s wardrobe, founded in 2020 out of a passion for upcycling. Among many other pieces, the brand offers excellent staples and loungewear that perfectly maintain the balance between comfort and style.
So, in case you’re looking for lightweight basics that can be styled in countless ways between seasons, Studio Seven Designs is the perfect brand to add to your wardrobe this fall. And if you’re looking for a piece to start with, their famous Lila Lounge Pants are great for embodying the autumn aesthetic without overheating and can be dressed up or down for any occasion. Or, snag a Gingham Star Sweater (pictured above) and spend your afternoon lounging with a good book while the leaves fall.
Source Unknown
If there was one label I’d deem a certified cool girl retailer, it would be Source Unknown. Describing themselves as “the new cult-favorite online store,” Source Unknown avoids focusing on big seasonal trends and instead keeps their collections simple and timeless. Though stock is minimal, if you can get your hands on any of their more utilitarian styles, there’s no doubt you’ll be turning heads this fall.

It’s impressive how well the retailer manages the line between timeless and other-worldly, with silhouettes that are flattering but abstract enough to say, “I know something you don’t.” Think about the last time you saw someone in a seemingly simple outfit but with a flair and elegance- that, though impossible to pinpoint- completely elevated their whole look. That’s Source Unknown: an attention to detail and muted drama that you need in your wardrobe, especially as the colder months roll in.
Organic Basics
One of the biggest reasons people tend to shy away from creating a sustainable and high-quality wardrobe is that it can get really expensive, really fast. And while it’s still important to invest in a quality wardrobe, we can’t force anyone to break the bank over it. That’s where Organic Basics comes in. Designed in Copenhagen and produced in eight sustainably driven factories across the globe, the brand’s goal is to offer the opportunity of a wardrobe that doesn’t come at the expense of the producers or the consumers.

If you’re looking to reinvent your wardrobe this fall, start with a few stapes. Organic Basics offers a wide variety of options ranging from undergarments to streetwear, even swimwear. Style their Core Sport Mini Skirt with an oversized sweater or the Recycled Wool Knit with your favorite pair of jeans.
Regardless of the fall wardrobe you’re aiming for, chances are you’ll find something at Organic Basics that fits your taste and makes your closet feel more intentional.
