We all went through a phase after watching Pitch Perfect that we thought about joining an acapella group. I am gonna guess most of us did not, but those who did, I envy your grit. To assemble your Barden Bellas look, grab a white button down, a blazer, a matching mini skirt, and a yellow ascot (other options: handkerchief/head scarf/scarf/bandana). If you have a microphone you use during night-in karaoke sessions, bring it along to truly sell the costume.

Embrace your inner girly girl maximalism by dressing up as Fancy Nancy. Being a little girl, idolizing Fancy Nancy’s lifestyle, this one is a personal favorite. Wearing anything and everything that makes her happy that is bright and falls in her color palette of blue, purple, yellow and especially pink. Mix colors and patterns wearing fun lively skirts, jackets, or dresses. To finish the look, add your best shoes, sunglasses, too many barrettes, bows, and layer lots of jewelry!

Glinda the Good Witch will be a go-to this year. If you have a pink dress, pop it on and go! It will be even better if you have a little tiara or wand, but if not no worries! You can still be the most ‘Popular’ girl at the party.

One thing about Mr. & Mrs. Smith, they make easy outfits look too good. Want something low effort for you or as a couple? The oversized white button down paired with tall red boots and white tee with boxers/white shorts works perfectly. However, that is not your only option. The other well known outfits from the movie, Brad Pitt in a classic suit and Angelina Jolie in a long black dress with a slit can be your ‘creme de la creme’. If you need to substitute the black garter with something else, perhaps try a black headband. Hopefully you and your significant other make it through the night unscathed.

Dressing up as a princess when you are a little girl is so joyous, so why not dress up as the queen of New York? Carrie Bradshaw is known for running around the big apple in her extravagant pieces. To quickly find your inner Carrie, you must wear your best pair of heels. You can recreate her oversized white button down look with an added black belt. Or, you can recreate her gray slate fitted mini dress look. If you do not have either, throw on a big dramatic coat over a flowy top or dress. Add on a mini skirt plus your best fashionista bag. Celebrate finishing your look with a cosmopolitan to pregame your night ahead.

In the spirit of Sex and The City, a unique twist on the series is dressing up like Stanford Blatch. If there is a suit in your closet and you can fit in it, we are in business. To make it a “Stanford” suit, there must be pops of color. He is never shy about standing out. To add an accent, a beret is one of his favorite headwear pieces. Everyone has fun when Stanford is around, so be the Stanford of the party.

Dressing up as Pam and Jim is screaming “we have personality”. Nothing more to it than a few button downs, a pink cardigan & gray bottoms. You will fit the brand of niche cute couples easily. Hopefully you are not going to a Halloween office party.

Three words. Maxi yellow dress. The show-stopper of the entire movie. All the romantics will adore your ode to this 2000’s rom com. Maybe you will get lucky and find a man like Mathew McConaughey, here's to wishful thinking.

SOS can save you from being the only one without a costume. Taking inspiration from SZA’s newest album cover, wearing a hockey jersey and work boots, no one will ‘Snooze’ on your fit.

If you are looking to rock out this weekend, we certainly found the perfect option for you. The Avril Lavigne look is recognizable, iconic and easy to execute. As long as you have a white tank, a tie, and baggy cargos (preferably camo), then you can have it all. Make “Complicated” your anthem for the weekend.
